Yes, all licensees must pass the National Home Inspector Examination.

Are there any other requirements to be licensed?

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or its equivalent
  • Submit an application and associated fees

When do the license expire?

Licenses expire every two years on December 31st.

Are there any Continuing Education requirements to renew a license?

All licensees must complete 20 hours of continuing education each year in any course related to general subject matter of home inspection - course approval is not required.
