Wyoming Real Estate State Requirements

The information contained below is designed to provide a summary of the minimum education, experience, and examination requirements established by the Wyoming Real Estate Commission.

Salesperson License

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Submit proof of legal presence
  • Complete the required Salesman Course I (30 hours) and Salesman Course II (24 hours)
  • Pass the State examination
  • Submit proof of Errors and Omissions insurance
  • Complete Fingerprint card and background check
  • Submit application and associated fees

Associate Broker/Broker License

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Submit proof of legal presence
  • Complete the required Broker Course I (30 hours) and Broker Course II (24 hours)
  • Pass the State examination
  • Submit proof of Errors and Omissions insurance
  • Complete Fingerprint card and background check
  • Submit application and associated fees

Continuing Education

  • Complete 45 hours of state approved courses every 3 years,
  • These courses must include 24 hours of Mandatory courses including:
    • Marketplace Issues (8 hours)
    • Contracting, Trust Account and Closing (8 hours)
    • Practice Applications (8 hours)
  • The other 21 hours are elective courses

Sales agents renew December 31st every 3 years.
